PayTally — published by Vibed Games

Last updated: 3 September 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Android app PayTally (the “App”, package com.vibedgames.paytally) handles, and where that information goes. PayTally is a counter display for small merchants: it reads the payment notifications your bank app already posts, announces them out loud, and keeps a running total of the day’s takings. It is developed and published by Vibed Games (“we”, “us”).

The short version: PayTally collects nothing. No data leaves your device, ever. There is no account, no sign-in, no server, no analytics and no crash reporting. We receive nothing about you or your payments, and have no way to.

1. How That Is Enforced Rather Than Promised

PayTally does not declare the android.permission.INTERNET permission. Android refuses network access to any app that has not declared it, so PayTally cannot open a network connection — not by mistake, not through a third-party library, and not in a future update without that permission appearing in the app’s manifest, where anyone can check for it.

You can verify this yourself: on the Google Play listing, under App info → Permissions, no network or internet permission is listed.

2. What PayTally Reads, and Where It Stays

Notifications

With notification access, which you grant yourself in Android’s settings, PayTally is shown notifications posted on your device. It records what it was shown in a local database so you can see what it did with each one. That record is only ever read on the device, and it is never transmitted.

Payments

Amounts, senders, account suffixes and the original notification text of matched payments are stored in a local database in PayTally’s private app storage, readable only by PayTally.

Your settings

Voice, speech speed, business-day start hour and display preferences are stored locally on your device.

Apps that have notified you

So the rule editor can show you a picker with names and icons instead of asking you to type a package name, PayTally keeps a list of the apps that have posted a notification to this device — the package name, the app’s name and its icon. PayTally does not read the list of apps installed on your device; it does not hold the QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES permission that would let it. The list is used only to draw that picker, and is never transmitted.

All of it lives in PayTally’s private storage. Uninstalling the app deletes all of it permanently. PayTally has automatic backup disabled (android:allowBackup="false"), so none of it is copied to Google Drive or any other cloud backup.

3. Data You Choose to Send Somewhere

Two features move data off the device, and both require you to act:

In both cases you choose the destination, and this policy stops at PayTally’s edge: whatever you send the file to has its own privacy policy.

4. Permissions

PayTally does not request internet access, location, camera, microphone, contacts, shared device storage, or the list of apps installed on your device.

5. Data Sharing & Third Parties

There are none. PayTally contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting or attribution SDKs, and no backend of ours or anyone else’s. We do not sell your data, we do not share it, and we do not receive it in the first place.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

7. Children

PayTally is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included.

8. Security

PayTally’s database and settings live in the app’s private storage, which Android makes readable only by PayTally. Because nothing is transmitted, there is no server to breach and no account to compromise. No method of storage is completely secure, and data on your device is only as protected as the device itself — a screen lock is worth having.

9. Changes to This Policy

Any change to this policy will be published here with an updated date. If a future version ever collects data, that will require new permissions visible on the Google Play listing before you update.
